Athena Abadilla is a Queer Filipina higher education professional passionate about supporting students in exploring and embracing their most authentic selves. As someone who was born & raised in Hawai’i and lived in New York City for nearly 7 years, Athena is excited to make her return back to the Pacific Ocean. During her time on the East Coast, she earned a B.A. in Religion from Barnard College and an M.A. in Higher & Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Athena has worked in a variety of spaces navigating what it means to develop a genuine practice of community care and holistic wellbeing, most recently as the Residence Hall Director & Student Life Coordinator at The Cooper Union. She is a huge fan of golden hour/sunsets, creating playlists for every era of her life, learning about astrology, gifting herself self-compassion flower bouquets, and listening to others speak on what they love— so please share!
