Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil and March
The 3rd Annual Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil and March will take place at the LGBTQIA Resource Center on November 20 from 11 am - 1 pm, bringing our campus community together to honor and remember transgender and gender-diverse people whose lives have been taken by anti-trans violence. In the week leading up to the event, community members will have opportunities to contribute to the altar and create their own marching signs. The vigil and march will include live music, moments of reflection, and opportunities to come together in remembrance, solidarity, and collective action. Students, staff, and faculty are invited to stop by the LGBTQIA Resource Center during the week of November 16-20th to make a sign for the march! All craft supplies will be provided.
UC Davis campus partners, departments, and organizations are encouraged to show their support by attending, participating in the march, and standing alongside trans and gender-diverse students, staff, and faculty.
